I was born and raised in El Paso, Texas...a unique historical area bordering Southwestern New Mexico and Old Mexico.  Billy the Kid and Poncho Villa created legions on both sides of the American and Mexican borders during the late 1800's.  Southwestern Mexican Food in this territory has been influenced by the Spaniards, Mexicans, Tiqua and Apache Indians.

I have been a "Mexican Foodie" (Someone with a refined interest in Mexican food)  I truly enjoy creating unique Mexican dishes.  Serving Southwest Mexican food has been a tradition in my family for many generations.

I have worked and traveled over the past 35 years ...as a travel consultant and international writer.

The recipes are very easy to follow.  The chicken tortilla soup was my favorite...some of the salsa recipes were too hot for me -
